1881 Census

Age three months living at 11 Russell Street, Loughborough with father William, a hosiers needle maker, mother Kate, brother John T., four, and sister Sarah, eighteen months. Kate died in 1885 and father William married Hannah Cooke in 1886.

1891 Census

Age 10 living at 31 Alfred Street South, Nottingham with father William, a needle maker, mother Hannah, brother John T., 14, and sisters Sarah 11 and Florence 1.

1901 Census

Age 20 living with father William, mother Hannah, sisters Sarah 21 and Florrie 10 at 28 Fisher Gate, Nottingham. He was employed as a needle and cycle maker.

1911 Census

Age 30 living on Bingham Road, Radcliffe on Trent with wife Alice and their children Alice 8, William 2. He was employed on his own account as a cycle and motor mechanic.
