Age thirteen ‘Schoolboy, part-time grocer’s boy’ living with family on Lincoln Grove, Radcliffe on Trent and siblings born since 1901: Lily, nine, and Charlie, eight.  The five eldest children had left home. Father Thomas was a brick engineer, Emily, a lace machinist and May, a lace clipper. No occupation was given for Ada.
