Both Arthur and Jane were living at 42 Albion Street, Scarborough, Yorkshire at the date of their marriage. His occupation was given as Gunner, RGA (valet).

An A. Wright took employment at Notts. County Asylum (Saxondale, Radcliffe); he is listed in the annual reports of the Asylum as a temporary hall porter who left the hospital at some point after December 1916 to serve with the Royal Garrison Artillery. Given that Arthur Wright was a footman in 1911 and a head hospital porter in 1939 it is possible that he was the A. Wright employed as the hall porter at the Asylum.

It has not yet been possible to determine Arthur’s date of death.  His wife Jane died in 1986 in Nottingham age 98.
