He was awarded a pension of 32 shillings for 80% disablement due to tuberculosis of the lungs while undergoing treatment, then a full pension for 100% disablement (amount illegible) from 11.05.21 to 08.11.21. No further details of pension are given. His address on the card was changed later to 142 Curzon Street, Netherfield.
His widow Olive Annie submitted a claim for a widow’s pension following this death on 4.12.30 but there are no further details as to whether her claim was approved.
His army records are marked “DECEASED”. He was engaged in correspondence regarding his pension with the authorities at the time of his death which may explain why his death is indicated on the record.
